Since 1936 the Boone County Extension Homemakers have been stirring up more than just delivious recipes -- they've been keeping history alive one dish at a time! For 90 years, members have shared cherished family traditions, passed down kitchen wisdom, and gathered around tables to build friendships that strengthen our community. As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we proudly continue our mission of empowering and enriching the lives of individuals, families, communities throughout Boone County, Indiana and beyond. Whether you're a seaseoned cook or just love the joy of good company and good food, there's always a place for you at our table!

As we proudly celebrate 90 years of friendship, service, and delicious traditions, we invite you to share a piece of your kitchen and your story. Please submit your favorite recipes to be included in our special 90th Celebration Cookbook - a keepsake filled with flavors, memories, and love that have brought our clubs together for generations.
Whether it's a treasured family dish, a crowd pleasing dessert, or a tried-and-true comfort food, your recipe will help us honor our past and inspire future members. Let's make this cookbook a true taste of our history!

In 1995, the Boone County Extension Homemakers proudly released their very first published cookbook, A Taste of Home - a true labor of love fulled with cherished recipes from our 35 clubs, dedicated club presidents, Council members and talented members. With more than 500 delicious recipes, it quickly became a treasured collection in kitchens across our community.
Now, as we celebrate 90 incredible years of friendship, service, and tradition, we're excited to bring back this beloved classic! In honor of our milestone anniversary, we are thrilled to announce the re-release of A Taste of Home - a special limited - edition cookbook coming Summer 2026. Get ready to stir up memories, share traditions, and create new favorites for generations to come in your kitchen with your own copy of A Taste of Home, coming soon!
